Can't give you a definitive answer on that, as my oldest boy tends to do that same thing. For the last few years, and now it's sort of a game. He claims to hate the camera (but loves the attention he gets as we try to get his pic). For family events I've actually had to tell him up front that I want pics of all of us at this party/beach/museum/zoo and he was not to duck or there would be consequences to his actions. But he's also old enough now to understand when I tell him that one day he'll look back and wonder why there are no pics of him and he'll regret not letting us snap at least a few.
